Build 10 release

0.1.0+10

Improves Android release optimization and expands Voice Assistant commands while preserving the existing schema-31 data model.

Android performance

  • Enabled R8 Full Mode release optimization with code shrinking, obfuscation, and unused-resource removal.
  • Google Play reports High app optimization for Build 10, with the release bundle reduced to a single 1.42 MB uncompressed DEX.

Voice Assistant

  • Added more natural Audio Note phrasing and direct Voice navigation to Audio Notes, Job Photos, Payment Schedules, Change Orders, and Payments Received.
  • Kept financial, approval, and visit-state changes behind the normal app workflows instead of adding direct Voice mutations.

Release validation

  • Validated the Google Play-delivered Build 10 update on a physical Android phone with existing JobFrame data preserved.
  • Validated Voice, Audio Notes, Job Photos, Payment Schedules, Change Orders, Payments Received, and normal native app behavior before the Production submission.
Build 8 release

Adds construction billing tools, Progress Photos, visit timing, phone contacts, Brazilian Portuguese, and release-validated schema-31 migration.

Billing and contract control

  • Added partial and final payments, Payments Received reporting, Payment Schedules, and Net/payment-term planning while keeping planned payments separate from money actually received.
  • Added governed Change Orders that preserve the approved base contract while tracking approved additions and deductions.

Progress Photos and visit timing

  • Added Before, Progress, and After Job Photos with captions, optional appointment links, editing, and sharing of selected original photos.
  • Added appointment-owned En route, Arrived, and Finished timestamps with derived time on site while keeping appointment lifecycle status separate.

Phone contacts and languages

  • Added user-controlled phone-contact import when creating a customer and export to Android’s Add Contact screen, without background contact syncing.
  • Added Brazilian Portuguese across the JobFrame UI and Voice Assistant, bringing the supported app-language set to eight.

Release validation

  • Validated the Google Play-delivered schema-31 update over an existing installation with real data preserved.
  • Validated customer, job, and appointment creation, Voice, phone-contact import, Brazilian Portuguese, and release-only exclusion of Developer Testing.
Build 7 production release

Adds Audio Notes, Hindi UI and Voice support, JobFrame Pro subscription access, and stronger Android reliability.

Audio Notes and Voice

  • Added Audio Notes with recording, playback, and links across customer, job, and appointment workflows.
  • Expanded Voice Assistant so Audio Note recording can be started by voice while natural-language workflows remain available.

Hindi and languages

  • Added full Hindi UI and Voice support as the seventh supported language.
  • Added Devanagari PDF rendering while preserving full RTL layouts for Urdu, Persian, and Pashto.

JobFrame Pro and reliability

  • Added JobFrame Pro subscription support with Google Play billing, read-only access when inactive, and clear upgrade and account-management controls.

Build 6 closed-test release

A major workflow and accessibility update focused on appointment reliability, schedule reporting, conversational Voice Assistant, six-language support, and expanded guidance.

Appointments and reporting

  • Added appointment reminders, Today’s Appointments, after-appointment follow-up, clearer status handling, and stronger linked-job safeguards.
  • Added Day, Week, and Month appointment schedule PDFs alongside the existing CSV export.
  • Improved mixed-direction appointment date and time formatting, including RTL languages.

Voice and languages

  • Expanded Voice Assistant with natural-language search, spoken replies, and confirmed creation of customers, jobs, and appointments.
  • Added Spanish, French, Urdu, Persian, and Pashto UI and Voice support in addition to English.
  • Added full RTL layouts for Urdu, Persian, and Pashto with mixed-direction record handling.

Guidance and reliability

  • Expanded Help & Learning to an 18-topic feature tour with contextual help and a replayable introduction.

Closed-test quality update

Improves everyday usability, makes scheduling rules easier to understand, and adds safe tools for correcting connected customer, job, and appointment records.

Usability and onboarding

  • Improved the Jobs screen with full-page scrolling so filters, actions, and longer job lists remain easier to reach on smaller devices.
  • Clarified customer-name guidance and validation while keeping support for either a display or company name or a primary contact name.
  • Expanded first-run onboarding into a workflow-based tour covering customers, jobs, appointments, scheduling policies, local records, and backups.

Record correction and cleanup

  • Added tools to reassign a job to the correct customer and to correct an appointment’s customer or linked job without rewriting issued estimate or receipt snapshots.
  • Added duplicate-customer merging that transfers linked records and preserves restrictive outreach and follow-up information.
  • Added guarded permanent deletion for truly empty accidental customer records plus a way to remove an invalid saved-customer link while preserving the job contact snapshot.

Scheduling and reliability

  • Made business-profile duration, time interval, capacity, and Allow, Warn, or Prevent conflict behavior visible from appointment creation.
  • Improved appointment validation by blocking calculated end times until a business profile is selected and moving directly to the first invalid field on save.
  • Expanded automated regression and synthetic diagnostic coverage across major screens and deliberate validation, conflict, and cleanup states.
Appointments and scheduling update

Adds local appointment scheduling, business-specific booking rules, appointment exports, and complete backup support.

Appointments

  • Added Day, Week, and Month appointment views with expandable totals for upcoming, completed, cancelled, and no-show appointments.
  • Added appointment creation, editing, rescheduling, status tracking, locations, notes, and links to customers, business profiles, and optional jobs.
  • Added direct appointment access from linked Customer Records and Job Details.

Scheduling rules

  • Added business-specific default duration, time-selection interval, simultaneous capacity, and conflict behavior.
  • Added Allow, Warn before saving, and Prevent saving options for overlapping appointments.
  • Added a direct Appointment Rules route from the Appointments screen and updated guided setup and contextual help.

Exports and reliability

  • Added CSV export for the selected appointment day, week, or month and the active search filter.
  • Added appointments and scheduling rules to versioned backup, restore, sample-data, and receipt-snapshot compatibility workflows.
  • Added a one-time What’s New window for installed updates with a link to the full website release notes.
Closed testing update

A field-workflow update based on the first real customer job completed during closed testing.

Estimate approval

  • Added approval records for customer signature, phone, in-person, text, email, and other methods.
  • Made approval notes optional and required a drawn signature only when Customer signature is selected.
  • Corrected the Estimated → Approved → Active status flow and immediate status refresh.

Payments and receipts

  • Added required payment-method selection when a job is marked Paid.
  • Added cash, card, check, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, bank transfer, other mobile payment, and other methods.
  • Added the payment method to Paid Job Reports and paid detailed, summary, and payment receipts.

Signatures and reliability

  • Clarified that completion signatures are optional and do not block completing or receipting a job.
  • Fixed backup creation for older immutable receipt snapshots that predate the new approval fields.
  • Preserved approval and payment details through restart, backup, and restore.
Initial closed testing release

The first Google Play closed-testing build of JobFrame.
