JobFrame release notes

These notes cover invite-only Google Play closed-testing builds. Features and wording may continue to improve before the first public production release.

Closed testing update

0.1.0+2

A field-workflow update based on the first real customer job completed during closed testing.

Estimate approval

  • Added approval records for customer signature, phone, in-person, text, email, and other methods.
  • Made approval notes optional and required a drawn signature only when Customer signature is selected.
  • Corrected the Estimated → Approved → Active status flow and immediate status refresh.

Payments and receipts

  • Added required payment-method selection when a job is marked Paid.
  • Added cash, card, check, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, bank transfer, other mobile payment, and other methods.
  • Added the payment method to Paid Job Reports and paid detailed, summary, and payment receipts.

Signatures and reliability

  • Clarified that completion signatures are optional and do not block completing or receipting a job.
  • Fixed backup creation for older immutable receipt snapshots that predate the new approval fields.
  • Preserved approval and payment details through restart, backup, and restore.
Initial closed testing release

0.1.0+1

The first Google Play closed-testing build of JobFrame.

Core workflow

  • Customer Hub with structured names, notes, tags, follow-up dates, activity, archive, and restore.
  • Jobs, templates, itemized pricing, estimate revisions, photos, signatures, and customer/job navigation.
  • Payment deadlines, overdue filtering, full-payment confirmation, Paid Job Reports, and CSV export.

Documents and records

  • Detailed, summary, payment, and estimate documents with immutable revisions in the Receipt Book.
  • Local-first backup, restore, recovery backups, and portable exports.
  • First-launch setup, replayable guided tour, contextual help, and consent-aware outreach drafts.
